In order to develop the vehicle-level Lidar, Huawei has started to invest a lot of manpower and material resources since 2018, and in order to circumvent patent barriers that have long been in place abroad, Huawei has directly targeted the research and development of Lidar as three high-performance, car-gauge and mass-production targets. The effort paid off and a breakthrough was finally achieved in 2020, the 96-wire gauge class laser radar has been successfully developed. 

     The so-called Lidar, which is a kind of sensor used for accurately acquiring the three-dimensional position information of the object, is essentially a laser detection and ranging. Its principle is to detect the distance between the target and the object by emitting and receiving laser, then, according to the reflection energy, amplitude, frequency and phase of the reflected wave spectrum, the three-dimensional structure of the target is plotted, and most of the lidar sensors are connected to a drive motor that rotates them, once the laser is synchronized with the motor's motion, we can tell where the laser is pointing and combine the whole image of the environment ahead. Therefore, the field of view of the Lidar depends on the angle of rotation of the motor.
