     Tongmao Linear Motors is a new type of motor that has become more widely used in recent years. Maglev trains are driven by linear motors.
    The maglev train is a brand-new train. In general, due to the friction between the wheels and the rails, the speed is limited, and the high speed it can achieve does not exceed 300 km/n. Magnetic levitation trains use magnetic force to suspend the train and disengage the train from the guide rail to reduce friction and increase the speed of the vehicle.
    The train is pulled by a linear motor, one stage of the linear motor is fixed to the ground, and extends along with the guide rail to a remote place; the other stage is mounted on the train. The primary communication takes place and the train moves along the guide rails. The train is equipped with magnets (some are coils that also use linear motors). When the magnet moves with the train, induced currents are generated in coils (or metal plates) on the ground, magnetic fields that induce currents, and magnets (or coils) on trains. The electromagnetic force between them suspended the train. Suspended trains have the advantages of smooth operation, no bumps, low noise, and low traction. As long as several kilowatts of power are available, the levitation speed can reach 550km/h. When the levitation train decelerates, the change of the magnetic field decreases, the induced current also decreases, and the magnetic field weakens, causing the levitation force to decrease. The levitation train is also equipped with wheel devices. Its wheels are like airplanes. They can receive trains as they travel and can be put down to support trains. To make a huge mass train magnetically suspended, a very strong magnetic field is needed. In practice, high-power superconducting coils are required to generate such a powerful magnetic field.
    In addition to magnetic levitation trains, linear motors are also widely used in other applications such as transmission systems, electric hammers, magnetic stirrers, and the like. In China, linear motors have also been gradually promoted and applied. Although the principle of the linear motor is not complicated, it has its own characteristics in terms of design and manufacture. The product is not as mature as the rotating motor and needs further study and improvement.
